                                            • Adults and Children with Asthma
If you have asthma, it is important to be tested and treated for allergies. Research shows that 60% of adults and 90% of children with asthma also have allergies. Untreated, the combination of these two conditions can damage the airways and worsen asthma symptoms. Testing helps to identify triggers to better manage your symptoms.

                                            How Do I get Tested?

If you have allergies, your body produces an antibody called IgE that is specific to your allergic triggers. We can measure the amount of IgE with a blood test.

                                            What Difference Will It Make?

Medications are not enough to treat allergies and asthma. It is important to prevent an allergic response by reducing exposure to allergens. You don't know what you are allergic to unless you are tested! Reduced exposure used in combination with medications can reduce or eliminate medication use and improve quality of life! Testing is done by a simple blood test and is covered well by most insurance companies.
